The SAT and the ACT test

The number of people taking ACT tests has also risen in recent years, with more and more high school students choosing to take the SAT and ACT exams at the same time.

The teachers who study abroad summed up the top ten differences between the SAT and the ACT.
1. Different design
The sats are reasoning and language skills, and the ACT is more focused on what a student learns in school.
So there is a saying that "good students" are good at taking up the ACT, and the "test students" are good at taking the SAT.
2. Include different parts
The SAT consists of three parts: language, mathematics, and writing.
The ACT test consists of five parts: English, mathematics, reading, science, and the writing part of choice.
The writing part of the SAT is necessary.
When you apply for a college that doesn't require writing grades, if you take the ACT test, you can omit the writing section.
The writing section will affect your SAT scores without affecting your overall performance.
3. The examination structure is different
The SAT is made up of ten parts and the ACT consists of four parts.
The SAT consists of three parts of reading, three parts of mathematics, three parts of writing and one part as an experiment, and the test part is not marked in the exam.
The ACT includes some English, some mathematics, some reading, and some science, and sometimes a test section is added to the exam, but this part is clearly marked.
4. Different ways of handling the wrong answer
The SAT scores points for the wrong answer, and the ACT does not score points on the wrong answer, but it does not deduct points.
So if you guess the wrong answer, the SAT gives punishment, and the ACT does not punish.
The content of the exam is different
The math of the SAT contains only the geometry and algebra II of the ninth grade, and the ACT includes trigonometry.
SAT there is no scientific part, and the ACT includes science, while the scientific part of the ACT is only reading test chart, understand the test and scientific discussion, not test your physical, chemical, and biological knowledge.
As far as reading is concerned, SAT reading emphasizes completing sentences, reading comprehension, long paragraphs and short paragraph analysis, while ACT tests four passages of reading. Buy certificate buy university diplomas buy college diploma buy high school diploma
6. The scoring method is different
Each part of the SAT scores from 200 to 800, with a total score of three and a full score of 2400.
For each part of the ACT, the score was from 1 to 36, with a total score of 4, with a perfect score of 36.
7. Different forms of examination
The SAT contains far more vocabulary than ACT tests.
The ACT is all optional, and the SAT isn't all about multiple choice questions.
ACT tests examinee's English grammar directly, but the SAT does not test.
8. Different ways of delivering results
Because most of the students participated in the SAT or ACT test more than once, if you ask your SAT scores to a university admissions office, SAT office will send you attend all the SAT scores, whether well or bad grades.
But ACT's office can only send you the test results you ask for.
9. The accepted areas are different
The U.S. east coast and west coast universities traditionally require SAT scores, while universities in the Midwest and south require the ACT.
The future trend is that all American schools accept the SAT scores and ACT scores.
Anyone before the exam needs to verify the requirements of the university you applied for. Buy certificate buy university diplomas buy college diploma buy high school diploma
The test frequency is different
SAT within a year to provide seven times the exam, in October, November, December, January and march or April, may and June, the ACT within a year only provides six times, respectively, in September, October and December, in February, April and June.
The SAT needs to be signed up to six weeks before the test, and the ACT value needs to be signed up to four weeks before the test. Buy certificate buy university diplomas buy college diploma buy high school diploma
